Weekly Update #11

  • After a very tough fight, our varsity season came to an end in the Elite Eight with a tough loss to Walton.   It was an amazing season ending with a 28-8 record and a Region Championship 3-PEAT.    A huge thank you to three incredible seniors for leading our team this season.  Taylor, Aubrey, and Mary Grace....you three were wonderful and will be dearly missed!

Weekly Update #10

  • For the sixth consecutive season, we are off to the ELITE EIGHT!!   With a 3-1 win over Collins Hill in the first round and a 3-0 win over Parkview in the Sweet Sixteen, we are headed back to the Elite Eight!  Our Longhorns will take on Walton as we continue our fight through the 7A state playoffs bracket.

Weekly Update #9

  • What a fantastic week to be a Longhorn!!  Our softball team is on a 23 game win streak and advanced in the state playoffs.  Our football team upset North Forsyth on Friday night 26-7.  The very best of all…..our varsity pulled off a 3Peat Region Championship over North Forsyth!!  It was amazing to see this special team achieve one of the important goals that they set for themselves back in June.   Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that came out to support us!  It certainly was a wonderful atmosphere and your support is very much appreciated!

Weekly Update #8

  • Our Varsity secured the first seed in the upcoming 7A Region 6 Tournament for the third straight year with wins over South and Denmark.  It was a crazy couple of weeks!  I’m incredibly proud of how well the team responded to adversity and kept the focus through it all.

  • Our JV Team finished up the regular season with wins over South and Denmark.  They competed in the JV Region Tournament at West on Saturday.  The team fought very hard, going three sets for four straight matches.  In the end they ended up with a strong third place finish.  Congratulation to our JV on a good season!

  • Our Freshman ended the regular season with wins over Centennial and a tough three set loss to St. Pius.  They entered the Freshman Region Tournament as the first seed.  The ladies competed well, but lost a three set heartbreaker to West in the championships.  It was amazing to see the wonderful growth of this team throughout the season!

Weekly Update #7

  • Varsity had a tough night on Tuesday facing some major adversity in a four set loss to Roswell.  However, what a HUGE rebound we witnessed on Thursday with an incredible four set win over previously undefeated in region, West Forsyth!!  It was absolutely fabulous to see these girls pull together, execute the game plan, and roll.  With this win, our varsity sits undefeated going into the last week of region play.

  • Our JV team lost a three set heartbreaker to West Forsyth on Thursday.  I’m confident that they will take care of them when it counts on Saturday for the region tournament.

  • The Freshmen team went undefeated on Wednesday with a three set victory over St. Pius and a crushing two set win over Maynard Jackson.

Weekly Update #6

  • It was a big region landslide for all our high school teams before Fall Break.  Our freshman dismantled both Gainesville and West on 9/13!  JV and Varsity sent both Central and North packing on 9/14 and 9/16!  Way to Hook em Ladies!

Weekly Update #5

  • Varsity won their first region match Thursday three sets to one against Gainesville.

  • Our JV team had big wins this week against Brookwood, Chattahoochee, Buford and Harris County.  They lost a three set heartbreaker against Gainesville on Thursday to open up region play.

  • The Freshman team fought hard, but had tough losses to Brookwood and North Gwinnet on Wednesday.

  • Our Junior Longhorns are continuing to improve each week!!  The Crimson Team and the White Team ended the week going 5-2 and advanced to the GOLD BRACKET of the A5 Red, White, and Blue Rumble.   Our White Team ended with a tie for third place and our Crimson Team made it to the first round of the Gold Bracket.  So proud of you all!

Weekly Update #4

  • Varsity had an action packed week competing three consecutive nights.  We had big wins over Mill Creek, Marist, and Milton along with a tough loss to Pope.

  • JV took care of business again on Wednesday with straight set wins over both Norcross and Mountain View.

  • Our Freshman team had a region playdate on Monday and posted a big with over Gainesville and hard fought losses to South and West.  On Wednesday they split with a nice win over Mountain View and a loss to Norcross.

  • The Junior Longhorns continue to get better each day!  The Crimson team went 1-1 on both Monday and Wednesday.  The White team went 2-0 and Monday and split 1-1 on Wednesday.

Weekly Update #3

  • Our Varsity hosted Johns Creek and St. Pius at home on Tuesday.  We lost a tough three set match to Johns Creek and followed with a 2 set loss to a very good St. Pius team.  On Saturday, we traveled to LakePoint for the Peachtree High tournament.  Making it to the gold bracket, we ended up with a third place finish beating the #1 seed, Notre Dame, out of Chattanooga.  It was a challenging week for our team, but we know there was growth and plenty of opportunities to learn and improve.

  • Our JV traveled to Mill Creek on Wednesday.  They fought very hard and came up with an exciting, three set victory over Mill Creek.   Afterwards, they faced Brookwood and came up short in a three set loss.  The team has faced some challenges with nagging injuries and illnesses, but they are really pulling together to push through!

  • Lambert’s first high school region win of 2021 goes to our Freshman Team!   The took care of business on Monday sweeping both South and West!  What an exciting night!  On Wednesday, they continued the success with a three set win over Mill Creek.  Unfortunately afterwards, the win streak came to an end against a good Brookwood team.   The always challenging Norcross 9th grade tourney took place on Saturday.   The girls gave it all they had taking 3 out of the 4 teams they faced to three sets, but were unable to pull out the victory.

  • Our Junior Longhorns traveled to Gainesville on Wednesday.   Our Crimson Team took care of business beating both Gainesville and Denmark in three sets!  The White Team posted a big win over Denmark and a loss to Gainesville.  We are so proud of the Junior Longhorns’ progress and all the effort the girls and coaches are putting in!

Weekly Update #2

  • Our Varsity went on a 4-0 sweep in straight sets during the week with TEAM wins over Northview, Cambridge, North Gwinnett, and Alexander.  On Saturday, we competed in arguably the toughest regular season tournament at South.  The All City Playdate boasts some of the best teams in the entire state and the competition was fierce.  Our ladies were on FIRE and finished the day with a 4-0 record beating Blessed Trinity, North Cobb, Pope, and Woodward!  The varsity record is now 13-1.  I’m incredibly proud of the fight these girls showed in the face of adversity!

  • Our talented JV team competed on Wednesday and came up with a big victory over North Gwinnett in a three set thriller!  Later in the evening they faced a tough St. Pius team.  They fought hard, but came up a bit short.  I’m hoping our girls will get to face them again at some point in the season.  I really believe the result will be different the next time!

  • Our Freshman had matches on Wednesday as well.  They had a tough three set loss to North Gwinnett and lost to St. Pius in two.  With that being said, you could see them improving with each set!  On Saturday they competed in the A5 Freshman Tourney.  Coach Edison said the girls competed like crazy and grew so much as the day progressed.  The reached the gold bracket with wins over Centennial and Milton!!  The faced a tough North Paulding team in the gold bracket and lost a tight three set match.  Way to go ladies!

  • The Junior Longhorns continue to grow as they played at Central on Wednesday.  Although the matches did not end in victories, the girls are improving and the matches are continuing to be very close.  Keep fighting girls!

Weekly Update #1

  • Varsity competed well and advanced to the final four at the highly competitive Sequoyah Classic.  We had big wins over River Ridge, Houston County, Woodstock, North Cobb, and Kennesaw Mountain.  The semifinal match against Cherokee was a barn burner that went back and forth throughout the match.  Cherokee was able to pull out the victory in the end.   Varsity ended the weekend with a 5-1 record.  Not a bad way to start the season!

  • JV competed in the Norcross JV tournament and had a very successful day with wins over Northview, Chamblee, and Brookwood which helped them to advance to the Gold Bracket.  They lost a very hard-fought game to Parkview in the semifinals.  Great work JV!

  • Our Junior Longhorns had their first matches on Wednesday against Gainesville and West Forsyth.  Although they came up short, it was a great first outing and both teams showed so much promise.  Saturday, they competed at the A5 Middle School Rumble.  They competed hard and showed major improvements in serving and game rhythm!  Our White Team advanced to the Gold Bracket with a tough loss to Roswell.  Keep up the hard work ladies!
